I have prepared one custom file extension which I intend to open with my own custom editor within VS IDE. The file is a type of XML data. I am using one grid in order to show / Manipulate that data which is working fine with my custom editor. Now when I want to open the document with normal XML editor keeping the same document opened in my own custom editor in a different Tab, its throwing an error "Not Implemented (Exception from HRESULT:0x80004001 (E_NOTIMPL))"
My intension is - The system will allow me to open the document with custom extension in my own sustom editor side by side with normal XML editor also. It should allow me to Manipulate / update the data in both my custom editor and normal XML editor, even if the same document is opened with both the editor at the same time. Like .xaml extension, I can update / change data in both WPF form editor and in XML view / XAML editor side by side.
Please help me out how can I go for my requirement. Thanks in advance.
